Regular Season Round 9: Fujitsu RW - Chanson V-M 63-77

The biggest surprise of round 9 was guest Chanson V-M's (6-3) road victory over 5th ranked Fujitsu RW (5-4) 77-63 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Chanson V-M. Fujitsu RW managed to win second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chanson V-M looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Rika Tanimura (184-93) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was international swingman Chinatsu Yamamoto (175-91) who recorded 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and international point guard Rui Machida (161-93) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fujitsu RW's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chanson V-M moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Denso Iris. Fujitsu RW at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Toyota B SR. Chanson V-M will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fujitsu RW will play again at home against Chanson V-M (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
