Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Adana ASKI (0-4) lost to tenth ranked Cukurova (2-3) in Mersin 62-67 on Saturday. American players dominated the game. Forward Erlana Larkins (185-86, college: N.Carolina) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Diamond Deshields (185-95, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Michelle Snow (196-80, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Odyssey Sims (175-92, college: Baylor) added 15 points, 7 assists and 6 steals in the effort for Adana ASKI. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Cukurova moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Canik Belediye. Adana ASKI lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Cukurova will face Canik Belediye (#9) in Samsun in the next round. Adana ASKI will play on the road against Bornova and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
