Regular Season Round 6: MuKi - Huima 88-77

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked MuKi (5-1) defeated 7th ranked Aanekosken Huima (2-4) in Helsinki 88-77 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-77. MuKi looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for guard Robin Avist (190-0) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. Point guard Joonas Timonen (188-0) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Joni Pohjonen (203-98) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and forward Sami Mantymaa (193-88) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Aanekosken Huima. Four Aanekosken Huima players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. MuKi maintains fourth position in Division with 5-1 record. Newly promoted Aanekosken Huima dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. MuKi will face HyPo (#6) in Hyvinkaa in the next round. Aanekosken Huima will play at home against JyWe and hope to win that game.
