Regular Season Round 6: Umana VE - Fiat TO 91-96

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Umana Venezia (5-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Fiat TO (5-1) 96-91. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Umana Venezia. American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Diante Garrett (196-88, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 21 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian swingman Gediminas Orelik (199-90) with 24 points and Croatian forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Five Fiat TO and four Umana Venezia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fiat TO have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with EA7 Armani and Umana VE. Fiat TO is looking forward to face MIA-RO Cantu (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Umana Venezia will play against The Flexx PT (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
