Regular Season Round 7: Vysocina - Slavoj Litom. 72-70

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Slavoj BK Litomerice (6-2) in Jihlava on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by sixth ranked Vysocina (4-3) 72-70. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Slavoj BK Litomerice. It was a great evening for point guard Martin Straznicky (180-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points. Forward Jiri Bubak (194-84) helped adding 8 points and 7 rebounds. Vysocina's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side center Martin Klimes (203-83, college: Vermont) responded with 30 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Filip Kroutil (190-96) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Vysocina have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place in West, which they share with Loko Plzen. Slavoj BK Litomerice at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Basket Kosice. Vysocina is looking forward to face higher ranked USK Praha B (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slavoj BK Litomerice will play against BK Loko Plzen and is hoping to win this game.
