Regular Season Round 8: Levallois - Le Mans 76-87

Date: November 5, 2017
ProA top team - Le Mans (7-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Paris-Levallois (2-6) 87-76. The game was mostly controlled by Le Mans. Paris-Levallois was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Le Mans especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The winners were led by Senegalese center Youssoupha Fall (221-95) who scored that evening 12 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American guard Terry Tarpey (195-94, college: William & Mary) supported him with 8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 23 points and 7 rebounds by international Boris Diaw (203-82) did not help to save the game for Paris-Levallois. American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paris-Levallois' coach Frederic Fauthoux tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Le Mans maintains first position with 7-1 record. Paris-Levallois at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with six games lost. They share the position with Cholet and Boulazac. Le Mans will play against Hyeres-Toulon (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Paris-Levallois will play against JL Bourg (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
