Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Teramo (4-3) defeated on the road 14th ranked Matera (2-5) 89-82 on Sunday. Teramo made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Teramo outrebounded Matera 28-17 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for power forward Giacomo Cicognani (205-92, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Simone Salamina (188-88) helped adding 25 points. At the losing side naturalized Argentinian swingman Franco Migliori (200-82) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Leonardo Battistini (198-95) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Teramo moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Matera dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. Teramo will face Bisceglie (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
