There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Vanoli Cremona (3-3) defeated at home 7th ranked Banco di Srd (3-3) 96-81. Vanoli Cremona shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a good game for American swingman Kelvin Martin (195-89, college: Charleston So.) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import center Henry Sims (208-90, college: Georgetown) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Vanoli Cremona's coach Romeo Sacchetti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-Kosovan swingman Scott Bamforth (188-89, college: Weber St., agency: BeoBasket) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and international forward Achille Polonara (203-91) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Banco di Srd. Four Vanoli Cremona and five Banco di Srd players scored in double figures. Vanoli Cremona moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Banco di Srd.
