Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Fuerza Regia (5-2). They were defeated by second ranked Soles (5-2) 75-67 on Monday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fuerza Regia. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Fuerza Regia 42-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Soles players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 24 points and international forward Juan Toscano (198-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Soles keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Fuerza Regia. Fuerza Regia will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Soles will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Fuerza Regia in Monterrey.
