Regular Season Round 9: Kotwica - Enea Astoria 83-80

A very interesting game took place in Kolobrzeg. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Enea Astoria (4-4) to eleventh ranked Kotwica (4-5) 83-80 on Wednesday evening. Kotwica forced 21 Enea Astoria turnovers. Strangely Enea Astoria outrebounded Kotwica 45-24 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Lukasz Bodych (201-90) nailed 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Daniel Grujic (201-90) accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Patryk Gospodarek (184-94, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Mikolaj Grod (194-89) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Enea Astoria in the defeat. Four Enea Astoria players scored in double figures. Enea Astoria's coach Konrad Kazmierczyk tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kotwica moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Slask Wroclaw. Enea Astoria at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Kotwica's next round opponent will be higher ranked Polfarmex (#3) in Kutno and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
