We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when thirteenth ranked Caceres Basket (3-5) outleveled at home 12th ranked Leyma Basquet (2-5) 80-61. The game without a history. Caceres Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Canadian-Guyanese guard Warren Ward (196-89, agency: Blacktop Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) contributed with 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Caceres Basket players scored in double figures. American guard Zach Monaghan (188-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Duran International) replied with 15 points and 4 assists and center Eduardo Hernandez-Sonseca (212-83) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Leyma Basquet. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caceres Basket moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Leyma Basquet at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. Caceres Basket will play against higher ranked Oviedo CB (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leyma Basquet will play against Melilla Baloncesto (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
