There was no surprise when 11th ranked Tessilform Bernareggio (3-5) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Vicenza (5-3) 75-68 on Saturday. Vicenza made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Eros Chinellato (191-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Giordano Bortolani (193-0) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Federico De-Bettin (180-94) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Vicenza and five Tessilform Bernareggio players scored in double figures. Tessilform Bernareggio's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vicenza moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Crema and Olginate. Newly promoted Tessilform Bernareggio dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Vicenza will face Faenza (#7) at home in the next round. Tessilform Bernareggio will play against Desio and hope to win that game.
