Regular Season Round 9: Templeogue - Moycullen 86-82

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Moycullen (5-3) against seventh ranked Templeogue (6-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Moycullen was defeated by Templeogue in a tough game in Dublin 82-86. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Moycullen. It was a key game for the second position in the league. They outrebounded Moycullen 50-38 including 37 on the defensive glass. Templeogue brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a good game for the former international forward Michael Bonaparte (196-82, college: Coll.of the Ozarks) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Jason Killeen (211-85, college: Augusta) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Templeogue's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Brandon McGuire (193, college: Moravian) answered with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Dylan Cunningham (195-91) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Moycullen. Templeogue have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Moycullen at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with UCC Demons. Templeogue's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Dublin .
