Regular Season Round 9: Swords Thunder - Tralee 88-59

The game between second ranked Tralee (6-3) and fifth ranked Swords Thunder (6-3) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Tralee was crushed by Swords Thunder in Dublin 88-59. Swords Thunder forced 27 Tralee turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Swords Thunder especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Tralee's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Conroy Baltimore (198, college: Lehigh) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Isaac Westbrooks (189-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 assists. Four Swords Thunder players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Trae Pemberton (193-92, college: Maryville, MO) who recorded 24 points and Serbian forward Goran Pantovic (208-91, college: Drexel) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Swords Thunder moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Tralee. Swords Thunder's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Dublin UCD Marian.
