Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Dijon (3-6) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Lyon-Villeurbanne (7-2) 63-46 on Saturday. Lyon-Villeurbanne outrebounded Dijon 55-29 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Theo Maledon (192-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Central African forward Eddy Ngoy (198-97) chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Damien Archinard (196-98) with 18 points and 5 steals and Swiss point guard Noah Burrell (190-97) scored 13 points. Dijon's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Lyon-Villeurbanne. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Gravelines. Loser Dijon dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. Lyon-Villeurbanne will face Le Mans (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Dijon will play against Antibes (#18) and hope to win that game.
