Regular Season Round 8: Prat - Ourense 86-76

Very expected game when 18th ranked Ourense (1-6) was defeated on the road by third ranked CB Prat (7-1) 86-76. It looked good early as Ourense took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then CB Prat had a 25-19 second period charge getting the lead and Ourense was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-86. CB Prat made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ourense 35-18 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian-Nigerian guard Caleb Agada (193-94, college: Ottawa, agency: Blacktop Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Point guard Josep Perez (184-94) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Finnish guard Roope Ahonen (186-90, agency: Blacktop Management) replied with 22 points and Australian forward Dan Trist (206-92, college: Lafayette) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ourense. Four Ourense players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Prat have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Manresa. Ourense at the other side stay at the bottom position with six games lost. CB Prat will play against Blancos de Rueda (#5) in Valladolid in the next round. Ourense will play at home against Lleida Basquet (#12) to get more than just one victory in their record.
