Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Bamberg (3-5) outscored at home bottom-ranked Jena II (0-8) 79-58 on Sunday. Bamberg forced 21 Jena II turnovers and had a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Dutch forward Frederik Adriaans (200-95) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Michael Lachmann (192-89) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jan Heber (187-98) who recorded 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Slovakian Jakub Kadasi (198-99) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Jena II's coach Christopher Schreiber gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Bamberg moved-up to ninth place in South-East, which they share with Rosenheim and Schwabing. Jena II lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Bamberg will face Schwabing (#11) at home in the next round. Jena II will play against the league's leader Vilsbiburg where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
