The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Caracas: Metropolitanos (#5) and Comuna (#4). Metropolitanos (11-9) smashed visiting Comuna (7-11) by 25 points 96-71. Metropolitanos made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Nelson Palacios (192-92) who helped to win the game recording 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and international swingman Cesar Garcia (193-90, agency: Pro Sports) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Leonardo Palacios (186-94) with 14 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Leonardo Berroteran (192-81) scored 5 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Metropolitanos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Comuna lost fourth consecutive game. Comuna at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
