Regular Season Round 5: Maccabi Raanana - Macc.Rehovot 64-91

The game with biggest result difference took place in Raanana. Local Maccabi Raanana (1-4) was outscored by leader Maccabi Rehovot (5-0) 91-64 on Tuesday night. Maccabi Rehovot forced 19 Maccabi Raanana turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Al'Lonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) who scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) chipped in 21 points and 5 steals. Maccabi Rehovot's coach Avner Yeor felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Michael Moshkovitz (199-98) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Maccabi Rehovot have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Maccabi Raanana lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with four games lost. Maccabi Rehovot will face Hapoel B/S (#6) in Beer Sheva in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Maccabi Raanana will play on the road against Maccabi K/M (#13) in Kiryat Motzkin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
