Regular Season Round 4: Tartu Ulikool - TLU/Kalev 86-67

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Tartu Ulikool and 9th ranked TLU/Kalev had identical 2-1 record. This time Tartu Ulikool used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Tallinn 86-67 on Tuesday night. Tartu Ulikool forced 25 TLU/Kalev turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American forward Steven Cook (196-94, college: Princeton) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and Swedish center Carl Engstrom (216-91, college: Alabama) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 8 points and 14 rebounds by Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU) did not help to save the game for TLU/Kalev. Serbian center Djordje Dzeletovic (205-93) added 21 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for lost side. TLU/Kalev's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Tartu Ulikool (3-1) moved-up to ninth place. Loser TLU/Kalev dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Tartu Ulikool will meet TTU (#12) in the next round. TLU/Kalev will play against Valmiera (#14) and hope to secure a win.
