Regular Season Round 15: CDU Concepcion - Las Animas 83-89

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Concepcion. First ranked Las Animas faced second-best Universidad de Concepcion. Guests from Valdivia (15-1) defeated host Universidad de Concepcion (8-8) 89-83. It was a great evening for American forward Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. His fellow American import forward Kristian Clarkson (202-84, college: Widener) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Tracy Robinson (201-86, college: Loyola, IL) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Diego Silva (186-93) scored 20 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Las Animas have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-1 record. Loser Universidad de Concepcion dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Las Animas will meet league's second-placed Espanol de Talca on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Universidad de Concepcion will play against Osorno Basquetbol and hope to secure a win.
