Regular Season Round 15: CD Castro - Puente Alto 78-76

The most exciting game of round 15 in the Liga Nacional took place in Castro. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Puente Alto (6-9) to fifth ranked CD Castro (5-11) 78-76 in the game for the fourth place. CD Castro dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Puente Alto's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Yamene Coleman (208-86, college: Troy, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Trevante Drye (199-93, college: Tulane) chipped in 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jerome Hill (198-94, college: Gardner-Webb) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Juan Coronado (203-90, college: Liberty) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Puente Alto's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CD Castro moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tinguiririca S.F. Puente Alto at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. CD Castro is looking forward to face Tinguiririca S.F. (#6) in San Fernando in the next round. Puente Alto will play on the road against the league's second-placed AB Ancud and is hoping to win this game.
