There was no surprise when 6th ranked TV Langen (5-4) was defeated at home by third ranked Tuebingen II (7-2) 69-61 on Saturday. Jacob Mampuya (200-94) fired 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Albanian forward Vildan Mitku (200-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. American forward Nick Smith (203-95, college: Belmont) produced 24 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Ghanian forward Cedric Quarshie (194-83) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. TV Langen's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tuebingen II have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position in South-West with 7-2 record having five points less than leader Muenster. TV Langen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with four games lost. Tuebingen II will face Lich II (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TV Langen will play against BG Karlsruhe (#14) and hope to win that game.
