Regular Season Round 6: Bornova - Adana ASKI 55-100

Adana ASKI has finally registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Bornova, where they outplayed Bornova (0-6) 100-55. Adana ASKI forced 26 Bornova turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Bornova's players. It was a good game for American guard Odyssey Sims (175-92, college: Baylor) who led her team to a victory with 8 points and 9 assists. Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (181-89, college: Drexel) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Adana ASKI's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Australian center Samantha Lubcke (188, college: Utah Valley, agency: Lebedintsev Andriy) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Sumeyya Ozcan (, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bornova. Despite that victory Adana ASKI went down to twelfth position due to points difference. It was Bornova's sixth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with six games lost. Adana ASKI's next round opponent will be higher ranked Canik Belediye (#10) in Samsun and it may be quite challenging game. Bornova will play at home against Istanbul Uni and hopes to get finally their first victory.
