Regular Season Round 8: MKS DG - Rosa 89-80

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Rosa (3-4) was defeated on the road by third ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (6-2) 89-80. Rosa was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 23-13 charge of MKS Dabrowa Gornicza, which allowed them to win the game. They made 18-of-18 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The winners were led by American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) who scored that evening 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward DJ Shelton (208-91, college: Washington St.) supported him with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Four MKS Dabrowa Gornicza players scored in double figures. Even 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Kevin Punter (188-93, college: Tennessee) did not help to save the game for Rosa. American-Jamaican guard Ryan Harrow (188-91, college: Georgia St., agency: 3Eye) added 19 points and 4 assists for the guests. Rosa's coach Wojciech Kaminski let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-2 record having just three points less than leader Anwil. Rosa lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with four games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza's next round opponent will be PGE Turow (#8) in Zgorzelec where they are favorite. Rosa will play at home against AZS Koszalin and hope to win that game.
