There was no surprise in Guanajuato where 9th ranked Abejas (3-6) were defeated by sixth ranked Mineros (6-5) 90-86 on Saturday. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for swingman PJ Reyes (196-88, college: Charleston) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. Guard Eric McClellan (193-93, college: Gonzaga, agency: KMG Sports Management) helped adding 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Steven Pledger (193-90, college: Oklahoma) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Abejas players scored in double figures. Abejas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mineros moved-up to fifth place. Loser Abejas keep the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Panteras. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
