There was no surprise in Trikala where 9th ranked Aiolos Trikallon (2-4) was crushed by third ranked Promitheas (5-1) 87-68. The game without a history. Promitheas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American Sean Evans (203-88, college: St.John's) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Nikos Gikas (186-91, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 13 points and 13 assists. Even 24 points and 8 rebounds by American swingman Lamond Murray-Jr (196, college: Pepperdine) did not help to save the game for Aiolos Trikallon. The former international swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Promitheas and four Aiolos Trikallon players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Promitheas moved-up to second place, which they share with Olympiacos. Aiolos Trikallon at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Promitheas' next round opponent will be Aris (#9) in Thessaloniki and are hoping to win another game. Aiolos Trikallon will play on the road against the league's leader Panathinaikos in Athens and hope to win that game.
