Regular Season Round 9: Civitanova - Giulianova 85-76

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Giulianova (5-4) against ninth ranked Civitanova (5-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Giulianova was defeated by Civitanova in a tough game in Civitanova 76-85. They made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Civitanova players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Guard Lorenzo Andreani (183-87) stepped up and scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and forward Riccardo Coviello (195-88) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Civitanova players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Jacopo Preti (200-94) with 16 points and Nicola Bastone (196-92) scored 16 points. Giulianova's coach Davide Tisato rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Civitanova moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Olginate. Civitanova will play against Nardo (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Giulianova will play against Matera (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
