Regular Season Round 11: Al-Muharraq - Al-Manama 77-75

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Al-Manama (8-1) in Al Muharraq on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Al-Muharraq (8-1) 77-75. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Al-Manama. It was a great evening for Ahmed Aldurazi who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Bader Abdulla helped adding 27 points (perfect behind the arc making all seven shots !!!). Al-Muharraq's coach Ivan Jeremic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and international forward Hassan Nawrooz scored 17 points. Al-Muharraq have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Al-Manama. Al-Muharraq is looking forward to face Al-Najma (#7) in Manama in the next round. Al-Manama will play at home against the league's second-placed Al-Nweidrat (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
