There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Olomouc Bbal (4-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Ostrava (5-5) 95-89 on Friday. Center Vaclav Bujnoch (200-93, college: Des Moines Area CC) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ondrej Siko (199-81) chipped in 12 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. At the losing side Moldovan forward Evgeni Scripcaru (195-83) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and center Jakub Sedlak (209-89) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Ostrava moved-up to third place in East, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Olomouc Bbal dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Ostrava will face Novy Jicin (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Olomouc Bbal will play against Pardubice (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
