Regular Season Round 15: Suduva-Mantinga - Vytis 81-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Vytis (13-2) in Marijampole on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Suduva-Mantinga (12-3) 81-67. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Vytis. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Suduva-Mantinga dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vytis' 28. Suduva-Mantinga forced 19 Vytis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Vytis' players. The best for the losing side was international guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) with 15 points and forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) scored 16 points. Suduva-Mantinga maintains second place with 12-3 record behind leader Vytis. Vytis at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Suduva-Mantinga are looking forward to face Neptunas-Akv. (#4) in Klaipeda in the next round. Vytis will play at home against Taurages and is hoping to win this game.
