Bottom-ranked RCOP Tsmoki (0-12) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to fifth ranked Vitebsk (6-6) 89-46. Vitebsk dominated on the defensive end, holding RCOP Tsmoki to just 4 points in second quarter. Vitebsk shot 20 for 28 from the free-throw line, while RCOP Tsmoki only scored one point from the stripe. Vitebsk forced 25 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. The former international guard Maksim Shustov (188-86) nailed 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and center Pavel Bliznets (210-94) accounted for 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Vitebsk players scored in double figures. Raman Hests (197-1) came up with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Daniil Barysevich (191-1) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for RCOP Tsmoki in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Vitebsk. They moved-up to fourth place. RCOP Tsmoki lost their twelfth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Vitebsk will play against higher ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. RCOP Tsmoki will have a break next round.
