There was no surprise in Antwerp where 13th ranked Giants B (2-9) was defeated by sixth ranked Royal Brussels (7-5) 73-69 on Friday. Naturalized Nigerian center Leigh Enobakhare (206-86, agency: Court Side) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Adam Hall (198-80, college: Virginia) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Royal Brussels players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Thibaut Vervoort (195-97) responded with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and forward Lenny Coppens (195-99) scored 15 points. Giants B's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Royal Brussels. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ieper. Loser Giants B keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Royal Brussels will meet higher ranked Spirou B (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Giants B will play against Gembo BBC (#3) and hope to secure a win.
