There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Tessilform Bernareggio (4-6) smashed at home higher ranked Padova (4-6) 75-52 on Saturday. Eric Ruiu (200-97, agency: Players Group) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Giacomo Baldini (190-96) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Tessilform Bernareggio's coach Marco Cardani felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side forward Enrico Crosato (196-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and forward Marco Lazzaro (198-92) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Tessilform Bernareggio moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Padova. Padova lost fourth consecutive game. Tessilform Bernareggio will face Palermo GB (#14) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
