Regular Season Round 7: AE Larissas - Kastoria 63-71

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Kastoria (4-3) defeated on the road 13th ranked AE Larissas (2-5) 71-63. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-9. But AE Larissas won third quarter 19-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for guard Nikos Kaklamanos (189-81) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points. Forward Danis Eleftheriadis (197-89) helped adding 16 points. Kastoria's coach Giorgos Soulios allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side swingman Giannis Papachristos (190-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Nikolaos Kamaras (196-97) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Newly promoted Kastoria maintains fifth place with 4-3 record, which they share with Doxa Lefkadas and Ermis Agias. AE Larissas lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with five games lost. Kastoria will play against Arkadikos (#14) in Arkadia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AE Larissas will play on the road against Amyntas Dafnis in Athens and hopes to get back on the winning track.
