No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Ansbach (5-5) beat at home 10th ranked Bamberg (3-7) 81-66 on Saturday. Ansbach dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Bamberg's 20 and made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Bamberg 46-30 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Walter Simon (202-89, college: Cumberland) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St., agency: Athleadz) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Ansbach's coach Martin Ides used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dutch forward Frederik Adriaans (200-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and guard Michael Lachmann (192-89) added 15 points in the effort for Bamberg. Ansbach maintains sixth place in South-East with 5-5 record, which they share with Muenchen OSB. Loser Bamberg dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost.
