Regular Season Round 7: Iraklis - Psychiko 80-70

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Iraklis (5-1) beat 10th ranked Psychiko (3-4) in Thessaloniki 80-70. The game was mostly controlled by Iraklis. Psychiko was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Iraklis forced 19 Psychiko turnovers. Psychiko was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Yannis Gagaloudis (192-78) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 assists. The former international power forward Dimitris Haritopoulos (205-83) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Thomas Nikou (185-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 assists and forward Petros Noeas (204-87) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Psychiko players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Iraklis moved-up to second place, which they share with Holargos. Psychiko at the other side keeps the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Papagou and Marousi. Iraklis will play against Ethnikos (#9) in Pireus in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Psychiko's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Marousi.
