Regular Season Round 13: RCOP Tsmoki - Vitebsk 57-101

Bottom-ranked RCOP Tsmoki (0-12) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to fifth ranked Vitebsk (6-6) 101-57 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Vitebsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to RCOP Tsmoki's 26. Vitebsk forced 21 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers and outrebounded them 51-25 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Vitebsk especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by RCOP Tsmoki's players. 24 personal fouls committed by RCOP Tsmoki helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Pavel Bliznets (210-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and forward Egor Gil (195-96) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Five Vitebsk players scored in double figures. At the losing side Daniil Barysevich (191-1) responded with 20 points and guard Tsimafei Bystrou (182-0) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vitebsk have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted RCOP Tsmoki still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Vitebsk are looking forward to face higher ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. RCOP Tsmoki will have a break next round.
