Regular Season Round 10: Oleggio - Libertas 101-70

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Libertas (0-10) were crushed on the road by fifth ranked Oleggio (6-4) 101-70 on Saturday. Oleggio outrebounded Libertas 49-25 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Dominican guard Shaquille Hidalgo (188-94) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Penny Hidalgo (175-96) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Oleggio's coach Franco Passera felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Andrea Giampaoli (185-90) responded with 18 points and 4 assists and Alessandro Ciampaglia (202-96) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Oleggio maintains fifth position in B with 6-4 record, which they share with Vicenza. Newly promoted Libertas still closes the standings with ten games lost. Oleggio will face higher ranked Firenze All Foods (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Libertas will play against Alba (#13) and hope to get finally their first victory.
