Very expected game in Aguascalientes where 10th ranked Panteras (4-8) were defeated by fourth ranked Mineros (8-6) 85-79. They made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Panteras outrebounded Mineros 43-29 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Eric McClellan (193-93, college: Gonzaga, agency: KMG Sports Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. The other American import point guard Marcus Fillyaw (185-94, college: Ky Wesleyan, agency: Paris Global Sports) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Mineros players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican forward Luis Hernandez (198-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and American power forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) added 18 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Panteras. Panteras' coach Ronald Guillen rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mineros have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Panteras lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. Mineros' next round opponent will be Santos (#6) in San Luis Potosi. Panteras will play on the road against Correcaminos (#5) in Ciudad Victoria and hope to win that game.
