Regular Season Round 10: MKK Siedlce - AZS UMCS 68-80

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked AZS UMCS (4-4) defeated on the road 11th ranked MKK Siedlce (2-7) 80-68. The game without a history. AZS UMCS led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-95, college: Temple) notched 29 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) supported her with 12 points and 21 rebounds. Even 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of her eight free throws) by Russian forward Kristina Alikina (187-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) did not help to save the game for MKK Siedlce. International guard Katarzyna Trzeciak (172-92, agency: Promotex) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. AZS UMCS moved-up to seventh place. MKK Siedlce lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. AZS UMCS's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Widzew (#13) in Lodz where they are favorite. MKK Siedlce will play on the road against AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski in Gorzow Wlkp. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
