Regular Season Round 2: Singapore S. - CLS Knights 77-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Singapore Singapore Slingers' (2-1) home victory over Indonesian CLS Knights (1-3) 77-73 on Sunday. Singapore Slingers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to CLS Knights' 42. Singapore Slingers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by CLS Knights' players. CLS Knights were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 21 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American forward Evan Brock (204-84, college: Alabama) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four CLS Knights players scored in double figures. CLS Knights' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Singapore Slingers will face Hong Kong ELL at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
