Regular Season Round 9: TBV Start - King 77-81

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Start (3-6) lost to ninth ranked Wilki Morskie (6-5) in Lublin 77-81 on Friday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 18-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Lithuanian Tauras Jogela (202-93, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 9 rebounds. The former international swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) contributed with 23 points for the winners. American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists and the other American import swingman Chavaughn Lewis (196-93, college: Marist) added 23 points and 6 steals in the effort for Start. The victory was the third consecutive win for Wilki Morskie. They moved-up to seventh place. Loser Start keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. Wilki Morskie will have a break next round. Start will play on the road against Trefl (#6) in Sopot and hope to win that game.
