Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Athens: Psychiko (#11) and Marousi (#10). Psychiko (4-4) smashed visiting Marousi (3-5) by 19 points 83-64. They outrebounded Marousi 41-26 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Psychiko players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Naturalized American swingman Nicholas Paulos (201-92, college: NC-Greensboro) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Petros Noeas (204-87) contributed with 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Giannis Stoukas (201-91) replied with 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and forward Petros Kanelis (200-90) added 11 points in the effort for Marousi. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Psychiko moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Doxa Lefkadas and Ermis Agias. Marousi lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Psychiko's next round opponent will be AE Larissas (#14) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Marousi will play against Ethnikos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
