Regular Season Round 18: Neptunas-Akv. - Ezerunas 84-91

An interesting game took place in Klaipeda where higher ranked Neptunas-Akv. (12-6) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Ezerunas (7-11) 91-84 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Neptunas-Akv.. Ezerunas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas-Akv.'s 30. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ezerunas made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Ignas Lukosius (202-93) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocks. Karolis Lukosiunas (196-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Ezerunas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-86) who recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Arunas Mikalauskas (202-97, agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Ezerunas maintains eleventh position with 7-11 record. Neptunas-Akv. at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Ezerunas will meet at home bottom-ranked KTU (#14) in the next round. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Palanga (#12) and hope to secure a win.
