Important game to mention about took place in Tokyo. Seventh ranked Tokyo Excel. (3-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Otsuka A. (5-3) 83-80 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Otsuka A.. Tokyo Excel. forced 23 Otsuka A. turnovers. Strangely Otsuka A. outrebounded Tokyo Excel. 38-25 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and power forward Takeshi Hasegawa (196-84) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Otsuka A.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tokyo Excel. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aisin AW. Otsuka A. at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Tokyo Excel. will play against Aisin AW (#5) in Aichi in the next round. Otsuka A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Big Blue.
