Very predictable result when second ranked Athletic Sofia (6-2) smashed at home 7th ranked Rilski 2 (1-6) 93-57 on Sunday. Athletic Sofia dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski 2's 36. Athletic Sofia forced 30 Rilski 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Todor Zahariev (190-92) stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Stanislav Slaveykov (198-86) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Miroslav Vasov (199-98) with 27 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Kristiyan Kolev (194-99) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Athletic Sofia maintains second place in A with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader BUBA. Loser Rilski 2 keeps the seventh position with six games lost.
