Regular Season Round 12: Castello - Ourense 82-64

Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Ourense (1-10) lost to ninth ranked Castello (6-6) in Castellon 64-82. The game was mostly controlled by Castello. Ourense was better in fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Castello players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Trinidad and Tobago center Kyle Rowley (213-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Joan Faner (176-90) chipped in 16 points. Four Castello players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Reginald Johnson (191-94, college: Hampton, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 12 points and 7 assists and power forward Hector Manzano (207-80) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Castello moved-up to seventh place. Ourense lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Castello's next round opponent will be higher ranked Blancos de Rueda (#5) in Valladolid and it may be quite challenging game. Ourense will play at home against Palencia Baloncesto (#11) and hope to win that game.
