Rather expected game when 8th ranked Scauri (5-7) was smashed on the road by fifth ranked Roma Luiss (8-3) 84-65 on Wednesday. Roma Luiss outrebounded Scauri 44-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Leonardo Marcon (190-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. Forward Davide Serino (199-81) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Andrea Longobardi (199-94) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Scauri. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Roma Luiss maintains fifth position in B with 8-3 record. Loser Scauri dropped to the tenth place with seven games lost. Roma Luiss will face higher ranked Valmontone (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Scauri will play against Capo d'Orlando (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
