Regular Season Round 19: Perlas - Silute 85-87

Tenth-ranked Perlas (7-11) made lots of trouble for second ranked Silute (14-5) in Vilnius on Friday. The visitors from Silute managed to secure only two-point victory 87-85. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Perlas. Silute made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Swingman Evaldas Dziaugys (196-96) fired 21 points for the winners. Taurantas Tamosiunas (192-92) chipped in 17 points. Five Silute players scored in double figures. Guard Margiris Normantas (194-96) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and forward Deividas Sirvydis (200-0) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Silute maintains second place with 14-5 record having just three points less than leader Vytis, which they share with Suduva-Mantinga. Perlas at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Silute is looking forward to face league's leader Vytis in Sakiai in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Perlas will play on the road against Telsiai (#5) in Telsiu and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
